→ PERSONALITY
What were your character's most formative experiences?
Silco came up on the streets in a version of the Undercity that, according to Silco, was wildly different to the enterprise of a city it becomes over the decades. Previously, Zaun was a place where all the citizens had were each other and they lived very much under the thumb of the might of Piltover and its enforcers.
As a young man, Silco roved with Vander, who very much viewed one another as brothers as they built up a shared operation as gangsters in the Undercity. This is where Silco's sense of loyalty is forged, especially as his and Vander's close connection found the two of them instigating an attempted rebellion against Piltover.
Vander's betrayal of Silco over currently unknown circumstances was a traumatic experience for Silco, who almost drowned in the conflict and sustained lasting corrosive damage to his left eye as a result of the chemicals in the river Vander tried to drown him in.
Biding his time, Silco later sought out revenge on Vander for this betrayal, ultimately leading to his death. This was a dramatic, intimate encounter that lingers on Silco's mind long after the fact, to the extent where he still speaks to Vander even after his passing.
Silco then found himself unexpectedly taking one of Vander's adoptive children under his wing, forcing Silco's priorities to shift dramatically.
What values, morals, and/or philosophies does your character live by, and how are those beliefs demonstrated? What happens when they have to compromise what they believe in?
"Betrayal, that pain that feels like it'll eat you from the inside out, can either break you or forge you into something greater."Belief that betrayal is inevitable is one of Silco's prevailing beliefs in life after experiencing it first hand from Vander, and is something he has instilled into his adoptive daughter, Jinx, time and time again.
He believes, ultimately, that trust and loyalty is limited and if someone has shown the potential for faltering once they can't be trusted not to do it again, but more importantly that the response to betrayal is what makes a person into who they are supposed to be.
"Power, real power, doesn't come to those who were born strongest, or fastest, or smartest. No. It comes to those who will do anything to achieve it."Silco is a driven man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants and he will go to extreme lengths to get it. He very much lives by the belief that the ends justify the means. Whatever the means. He therefore wants to be feared by others by having the conviction to follow through on whatever threats he makes, willing to become the physical incarnation of his enemies' worst nightmares.
What is your character afraid of? How does avoiding or preventing these fears influence their actions and decisions?
Silco's greatest fear at this stage is losing Jinx. She is his highest priority in just about every regard, even going so far as to give up his life's dream rather than sacrifice her to achieve it.
This devotion to Jinx makes Silco stupid at times, forsaking and overlooking things that he would otherwise find unacceptable hindrances to his overall goals.
He is also afraid of dying. Not so much that he won't take great risks and walk the knife edge, but his fear of dying means that he will fight tooth and nail to avoid it coming to pass.
What goals does your character have right now? What do they want, and how do they go about getting it?
In his home world, Silco sought two things: success for himself and independence for the Undercity.
To Silco, these two things are not necessarily opposed or in contest with one another, but his core goal has always been about removing Piltover's control of Zaun. If that liberation comes by putting more power in his own hand, all the better; for him those are just two sides of the same coin.
To achieve this, Silco will manipulate, cheat, blackmail, torture, extort and undertake dangerous experimentation. In other words, Silco will stop at virtually nothing to achieve his goals, no matter how ruthless he must be or how long he must bide his time.
→ POWERS
i'll show you who you really are
By making direct eye contact with someone, Silco can draw their inner most secrets to the surface.
While he is getting to grips with these abilities, the effect is fairly randomised and based on the internal intensity and how desperately someone is trying to contain those urges.
In time, Silco will be able to make this more targeted and specific. For example, he may be able to focus on pulling out truths in a forced honesty style approach, grasp hold of specific emotions and strong-arm them to the surface, or more gently encourage insecurities to show themselves and then fester naturally.
The process causes Silco physical pain in his eye to complete and he must maintain eye contact while doing it. The person he's trying this on can also try to resist the compulsion. This can only be used once a day.
the monsters we make
Silco can give someone a temporary rush of adrenaline, enhancing their speed, endurance, and strength for a short period of time.
To do this, he must make physical contact with them and will leave Silco fatigued.
This ability also creates a feeling of intense connection to the individual he is giving the temporary enhancement to.
This process can also become addictive process for both the recipient and giver.
let a weak man die; a new one reborn
If someone dies, Silco can revive them, but only once per character.
In doing so, the revived individual loses something of themselves--a memory, an worldview, use of a sense or body part, and so on. It should be something that changes their approach to the world around them in some significant way.
There is also a much higher chance of general success the shorter the time between time of death and revival.
Because of the nature of this power, it will always need extensive plotting with the player of the character being revived and will need mod approval if the time of death exceeds two hours.
After doing so, Silco will also "die" for a period of 24 hours.

shipping/smut i'm totally fine with it oocly, but it's definitely far from silco's highest priority on just about any given day. in any case, i'm game for anything with the right (messy), and i'm especially here for very dysfunctional, complicated somethings with vander. i won't ship him with jinx. beyond that, i'm down for filth
